Providing a Multivitamin/Mineral that helps Decrease/Manage Inflammation

High Priority Post: A general idea I have for the utilization of donation funds from The Dietetic Wellness Project is to purchase a bulk supply of a multivitamin / mineral supplement that offers a beneficial range of micronutrients that help decrease / manage inflammation caused by :

  • Natural Oxidative Radicals

  • Occupational Hazards

  • High Blood Sugar

  • Eating Inflammatory Meals / Snacks

  • Food Insecurity

  • Chronic / Acute Malnutrition

  • Gastrointestinal Disease

  • Anemia of Chronic Disease

  • Dyslipidemia

The supplements would be stored on a shelf in my outpatient office and I would offer patients products during Outpatient MNT appointments.

I would receive no paid promotion for purchasing the products in bulk for my patients.

As of Feb 2026 a community needs assessment has not been conducted yet for this patient donation project idea in Eastern Washington.

Hospital directors would need to approve of my community needs assessment and storage plans before any money would be taken out of a business checking account to purchase the supplements in bulk.

The supplements selected in the community needs assessment will be evidence-based nutrition interventions for people experiencing higher levels of inflammation due to diet, family history, food insecurity, occupation, and/or chronic disease.

Patients would be screened for drug nutrient interactions and the results documented in their EHR before being cleared to receive the anti-inflammatory supplement available for redistribution via donation from my office.
